THE GSD BREED COUNCIL`S SURVEY GUIDE TO ENTRANTS
1. Complete and sign a CURRENT ENTRY FORM before returning it by the appropriate
date to the Host Club. Ensure that the fee is enclosed as no classification will be
issued unless fees are paid in full. You will receive a Breed Council Certificate and a
printed Survey by email (please make sure you write your email address clearly on
your entry form). Only dogs of eighteen months and over on the date of the Survey
may be entered for classification. The current entry form has BCSF160327 at the
bottom of every page and can be downloaded from the Web Site. The front page of
the form is editable in the later versions of Adobe Reader.
2. ON THE DAY REQUIREMENTS
a. Dog as defined on the entry form
b. 5 (five) Generation Pedigree of the dog
c. KC Registration certificate and micro-chip certificate
d. BVA hip status certificate or ANKC and /or proof of foreign hip status.
e. BVA elbow status certificate or ANKC and /or proof of foreign elbow status.
f. Proof of Laboklin Haemophilia Blood Test result (applicable to males only) This is
Recommended but not Mandatory.
G. Proof of Parentage DNA (Genetic Finger Printing) Blood Test from Laboklin and/or SV
DNA certificate.
H. Dogs Play toy.
IN THE EVENT OF ANY OF THESE DOCUMENTS BEING UNAVAILABLE ON THE DAY, THE
SURVEYOR WILL NOTE THIS ON THE SURVEY FORM. THE SURVEY CERTIFICATE WILL NOT
BE ISSUED UNTIL COPIES OF MISSING DOCUMENTS ARE LODGED WITH THE BREED
COUNCIL SECRETARY.
3. In the case of missing teeth due to accident it is the responsibility of the owner to
provide veterinary evidence.
4. ON THE DAY PROCEEDURE
a. Report to the administration area and present all relevant documents.
b. Collect Survey sheets and report to measuring area.
c. Report to main area for the Survey.
D. Be available to handle your own dogs during the gun test and character test.
5. RESULTS
Recommended Classifications will be announced by the end of the event when the
Surveyor will be available to comment. The surveyor may decide to comment whilst
actually conducting the survey.
